EasyTime: Reader Wall Box

A slimline white plastic wall box: – either with cut-outs for an EasyTime Reader’s data connector and screws, that allows it to be mounted on a wall – or blank for easy connection of an EasyTime Display Reader. Please specfiy which type of reader when ordering. Both versions have 3 blanked holes for surface mount trunking to the top and sides, and six cable exit points at the bottom. There are clips inside to make the EasyTime extension cable captive. There are options that allow point to point serial connection via CAT5 structured cabling: – either an internal RJ45 socket complete with a matching socketed DB9 (COM1) connector for a standard single EasyTime Reader – or a set of 3 RJ45 sockets for the RS485 readers vcomplete with a further option including a smart DC socket for correct connection of a local power supply for display or distant readers. N.B. with the standard single reader version connections made with this wall box must be kept within RS232 distance limits. Due to the variation in PC COM port implementations and the local environment no guarantee can be made beyond 8 metres, however EasyTime reader connections with longer distances have been successfully installed. For the RS485 / Multiple Reader version please remember to order a Wall Box with appropriate options for the Reader included with EasyTime as well as for the additional readers. The RJ45/ Serial connector options are not available for the new version 2-USB Bi-Directional Reader (200027/8) – third party USB extension or networked USB server options should be used instead.
